A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Not sure why a Russian Black Metal band named itself after a French fortress, yet more than 200 people found their death on a funeral pyre within the walls of Chateau Montségur. On the other hand, stranger things have happen. This demo is the first one and was at first a digital release, but later on Legion Blotan Records & Distribution released it on tape. “Under The Banner of Witchcraft” is filled with Pagan Black Metal with a lot diversity concerning pace, melody and some folk ideas. Although the sound is quite raw yet it is not an attic-production. The band is influenced by Mid-period Bathory, Moonblood, Arckanum and Vlad Tepes. And I can relate to those bands while listening to this demo. Certainly not a bad one, this demo called “Under the Banner of Witchcraft”. (Ricardo)
