A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

From Romania comes this four-piece that are releasing their 5-track debut EP ‘Pray To The Knife’. I think that a quick look at both the band name/EP tile and the cover art might reveal more about what you are dealing with than a review will do. Let alone if the band themselves described their music as “Rabid speed metal-punk arising from the filthy streets of Bucharest. In league with metal and faster than ever!”. But, let’s give it a shot anyway…

Indeed, Leather Brigade is offering you exactly zero new things, you have all heard this at least 666 times before in various shapes and forms. But it is good to conclude that some things never grow old: a good morsel of fast paced Speed/Thrash Metal with a lethal dose of 80’s Street Punk, all drenched in a good portion of stale beer, yes please! Speedy stuff with well-played flashy guitars and aggressive vocals, you can imagine this to sound a bit like a much faster and melodic Venom. This will therefore definitely appeal to fans of Midnight, Abigail, Toxic Holocaust. Nothing truly shocking, but very well-executed and, overall, more than tasty!
