Rapture is a new band originating from South America (Chile), perhaps the area of the world where the most intriguing and amazing underground death metal bands are coming from, lately. It is also the name of a classic track by the mighty Morbid Angel and, judging from the guitar riffs, these guys are huge fans of the American band. Active since 2014, the still unsigned quartet from Maipú (Chile) has recently (April 9th) released a digital-only three-track demo that surely deserves to be listened. Pure early Morbid Angel style death metal spread over a little more than 15 minutes. Displaying a powerful and strong musicianship, Rapture is formed by Necrohammer on drums, Plaguelord on vocals and rhythm guitars, Scorcher on additional vocals and lead guitars and Incarnator (since 2016) with the bass duties. “Scourge of Blasphemy” was self-produced by the band and is available on their bandcamp page.
