Spain’s Mal Du Siècle has released a 3 EP/Demo song which wanders in the “old school” black metal realms. Along the three songs you can hear basic riffs without showing anything especial but the interesting side of this band/project is that you can hear the passion for the genre. It still impresses me the fact that there are always people coming out in many countries showing their love and passion for black metal and that you can hear along the songs of this demo. I personally find the vocals very of my taste which are done in a very traditional way, as it must be when playing black metal and you know… I don’t believe in the term “old school” to be honest. The real black metal music must sound like this and it will never change!. Give it try if you are into albums such as “Transilvanian Hunger” “Det som engang var” or “Prophecies of Pagan Fire”.
