A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

While the band mentions alcohol and cigarettes as main interests, it’s clear the musical enthusiasm comes from Autopsy and the Swedish Death Metal scene. After a demo and an EP, Selfmadegod Records released their debut album back in 2013. Not sure if they got dropped by them, but it seems they released a digital demo by themselves again. The 2 of the 3 tracks clocks above the 5 minutes, while the last track “Path of Exclusion” is more than 10 minutes and is also the most Autopsy-like of the tracks. Doom/Death with a Swedish sound and leads. This first track “Dark Depths” is more Swedish and “Godless Era” is the balanced one. Certainly an above average demo, yet it will not stand out. (Ricardo)
