A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Yorkshire based Black Metal band Aubzagl are currently working on a new release but in the meantime they have released their new song, ‘Justice/The Tower’, to act as a benchmark for the bands current sound as well as their fiercely anti-fascist stance. The main single ‘Justice/The Tower’ is a short and eerie track; a lethal combination of rasping vocals, pummelling blast beats and ravenous sounding guitar leads, all with an almost carnival like synth undertones and a swaying lilting song structure that sounds uneasy and engaging. Following this there is a savage Black Metal re-imagining of Nirvana’s ‘Tourette’s’ and then a length remix of the single which in truth does nothing for me. But the single is a great indicator of the direction Aubzagl are taking and I love the ferociousness of the Nirvana cover!
