A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

A quick review to let you know about a new Extreme Metal band coming out of Derby in the UK, Clones of Sirius. ‘Follow The Markers’ is the bands debut single release and is a groove drenched four minutes of fast paced Black Metal with a thoroughly engaging melodic undertone. Clones Of Sirius pack this short track with so much variance of sounds and styles its amazing they are able to fit it all in, and it ranges from subtle Symphonic Black Metal harmonies, simple Punk influenced guitar leads and drumming style, as well as a mixture of raw and chanted vocal work. On top of all that there is a satisfying amount of bass groove and some very nice tempo changes and rhythm guitar sections. A very promising start from a band who clearly have a great eye for song craft.
