A short debut demo from the East Java region of Indonesia. Distrotten are a new Death Metal band and their new demo has been self-released as a digital only offering. Death Metal with a spine tingling amount of groove is what is on offer from these Indonesian lads; a bass heavy sound with grinding, intensive guitar riffs and a bone rattling amount of heaviness. Whilst the flow of this demo is somewhat stodgy and stunted, the band make up for this with sheer punishing bass play and a malevolence to their guitar rhythms. Further into its grimy depths and there is a decidedly chugging aspect to things and it isn’t until we are into the second track that some almost whispered vocals can be heard. This is certainly an interesting opening offering from Distrotten, and the vocal work especially sets them apart from many. Be sure to check these miscreants out!
