A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

I’ve read in some news articles that “Diabolica” is recommended for fans of Bolt Thrower, Vomitory and Dissection…please, don’t be fooled by this, especially when you expect to hear something like “Cenotaph” or “Night’s Blood”.

Haiduk can be categorized as Death/Black Metal, but with the mechanical sound (enhanced by the drums and guitars) and dark atmosphere it also has a slight touch of the industrial genre. Most songs are not touching the 3 minute mark and don’t expect a lot of lyrics either (although the low vocals fit in well), with “Diabolica” it is all about the hypnotic and mostly fast riffs in many variations.

This results in an album that is both straightforward and unconventional, so give it a listen first before buying. (Ricardo)
