This Chicago, Illinois, USA based Death Metal outfit Lunatic Devote is presenting its first digital demo in the form of ‘Demonstration Of Lunatic Rituals’. Though it is very short, clocking well under 4 minutes in total, it still gives quite a solid indication of what to expect from this new kid on the Death Metal block.
Those 3 minutes and 25 seconds are divided in almost three equal parts, presenting three short and sharp songs. The length of the tracks might suggest it is rather Grindcore-like, but though it definitely has some of Grindcore elements, the foundation is predominantly just solid US-styled Death Metal. Not too far removed from the Brutal and Grindcore drenched Death Metal of such acts as Mortician, Incantation and the likes of the New York scene from the 90’s. No samples though and quite a massive production makes this a very enjoyable demo. Short but very lethal, recommended!
