A savagely dark two track debut demo by Äes from Tampere in Finland. Äes combine desperate howling vocals with cavernous drum beats which sit low in the mix, as do the ravenous sounding guitar leads. This demo is dominated by the vocals but as the anguished voice of Äes dies down the menacing, sinister gloom of the guitars and the thick, satisfying rumble of the bass take a firm grip on this ode to total and impenetrable darkness. This is mid paced Black Metal just how I want it to sound, dissonant and bone rattling with its bass lead groove, and starkly terrifying with its feral vocal display.
