A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Now this is a demo that deserves to keep on playing over and over again! Helleruin is a one-man Black Metal project of Carchost, a young black soul who already has experience with bands like Standvast, Gheestenland and Orewoet to name a few. The Black Metal by Helleruin is influenced by the Norwegian scene as it has hints of Taake. This material is well-played, catchy and interesting throughout the whole demo. Although the first track “Faces of War” does have some Punk chords, all the other tracks are as Black as Guinness. As the cherry on the cake; the underground sound fits like a glove. A convincing Black Metal demo you must check out if you like your black art the Norwegian style and some melodic touches, also in the 1990s style. (Ricardo)
