A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

The beauty environment and surroundings of Sesto Fiorentino (Firenze), Tuscany isn’t the most perfect inspiration for Black Metal, yet that doesn’t stop Warrior (also in Sonnenrad) and Edo from trying. This is the first demo of these Italians which is inspired by the second wave of Nordic Black Metal. So you get easily to the usual suspects, when you hear the opening track “Crushing the Gods”, you will hear the influence of Darkthrone very well. On “Burn the Branches of Christ” you will hear a more Pagan approach with more melody in the riffs. An early Satyricon or Hades Almighty inspiration going on that one, but the melody became more Arckanum on the title track. I applaud the influences, yet the execution isn’t all that. Maybe the next demo will crush me. (Ricardo)
