A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Wow. This is the second full length from Encircling Wolves, with only an EP released before in 2017. A complete vision of solitary, violent Black Metal…right down to the packaging.

Every song is a banner call to arms, the howls of wolves to gnashing of teeth and tearing of flesh. Even though the drums are programmed (something I had to ask Encircling Wolves to verify) the whole album sounds as if there is an army of musicians. My only complaint is that you can’t always hear the riffs as clearly as I would prefer…but that was only a minor complaint. The more I listen to this the more I dig it. The old flames still burn and Encircling Wolves carries those flames into the night with violent intent. (TravisN)
