A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

When I listened to the album for the first time, my first thought was „this sounds familiar“. Magoth is a German Black Metal band and that´s like it. This very solid production celebrates the 90s Swedish Black Metal. That´s the keyword of this review: Swedish Black Metal.

If you are into it you can without a doubt buy this album. For me Magoth has certainly good ideas but it is very difficult to do more than pay a homage to the 90s Black Metal. As a witness of the Black Metal rising from the underground back in that time, I have given a lot of bands like Magoth a try but sadly after a few years/albums it´s all over.

I wish them the best and hopefully Magoth can teach me better. (HaCeBo)
