After one demo, one full length album and a split album with the bands Ingurgitate, Locusta, Iniquitous, Demoniacal and Genuflection, the black/death metal band Hod returns with a self-released demo titled “The Uncreated demo”. Three tracks are audible, and I must honestly say that in the beginning I wasn’t really fan of this band. But I’m the one who perseveres and yes, I somewhat had to change my opinion after giving these tracks the needed listening sessions. Okay, it’s not that this is an extremely talented band, because they create music that everyone has heard before, but the intensity of these Texans plays in their favor. From the beginning till the end, this demo mauls up your ears and keeps on battering until the last tune of “When the Ghouls Feed”. This demo won’t really stand out between other recent releases, but it’s surely worth to listen. (Fredde)
