Earlier this year the trio that is Bloody Run, hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, presented their third release. ‘The Revenge’ is an (extremely) short affair, clocking in at only five minutes and a bit, still offering three tracks of music that doesn’t need much introduction, but is still very much worth those few minutes of your life…

Bloody Run combines the best of so many different worlds of musical extremity. With ‘The Revenge’ I am sure they will appeal to fans of bands like Midnight, Blasphemy, Enforced or any random Swedish crust core band. The frantic pace, the pummelling drums, the very prominent bass guitar and the wild barking vocals all make up for a boisterous frenzy which you can as easily call Blackened Thrash or Blackened Crust Grind. But there are elements of Death Metal and just plain old school British Street Punk as well. But regardless of your own musical taste or frame of reference, which can lead you to a interpretation of your own, one thing is for sure: Bloody Run did not come to take prisoners. The music is just as savage as the cover suggests, so if you are looking for a short, sharp but at the same time sweet and lethal piece of violence, ‘The Revenge’ might be a very suitable stop to get your fix. The band have released these three tracks on a CD which is available at their Bandcamp, just saying… Oh, and yes, sometimes only few words are just enough.
