A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Looking for a good slab of Old School Death Metal, influenced by certain bands around a certain city called Stockholm and involving a certain pedal and a certain recording studio.

As a huge fan of the particular style there is a possibly I’m easier to please than most of you, yet if the riffs and the style-common melodies aren’t there, the repeat button doesn’t deserve to be pushed by me as well. Nocturnal Hollow does have the riffs, the melodies, the leads, the variation in speed and all.

“A Whisper of an Horrendous Soul” isn’t a new classick, but it is without any doubt a fuckin’ fine album which is recommended for every (Swedish) Old School Death Metal enthusiast. (Ricardo)
