A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Within a half year after Dauþuz released their 4th album ‘Vom schwarzen Schmied’, Amor Fati releases an alternate version of that album and presents it as a new full-length.

During the recording of the album both Aragonyth S.  and Syderyth G. thought how it would sound like with only clean vocals, additional choirs and keys. And they didn’t keep it with only thoughts as they actually did record it that way. They also changed the sound, mix and mastering altogether.

It results in more heroic sounding like album, which could go two ways for you. One; It gives the Black Metal without harsh vocals a bit of a soundtrack vibe. Or two; a Black Metal sounding album with German heroic clean vocals that will give a Power Metal feeling added to Black Metal music.

I know the latter one can be quite negative for some, even despising it. Give it a listen to find out if it fits you. Personally, I prefer the original recording.
