Hate Manifesto – Αποστάτης

Hate Manifesto, the War Metal commandos from Greece return to the battlefield, armed with their newest weapon, ‘Αποστάτης’ (which translates as “Apostate”).

In the past they caused a serious stir and quite a few tidal waves in the extreme War Metal scene with their ‘To Those Who Glorified Death’ debut from 2017 and the 2019 ‘Herald of Triumph’ EP, making them one of the most promising new bands of the genre.

And here’s their 2024 follow up. An ominous intro starts, followed by what can described as 7 concussion grenades with a wide yield.

The lyrics are completely in the martial vein of a Revenge. The vocals are inhuman low pitched, coarse growling commands. The bass sound can be felt all the way in your gut, not to mention the relentless machine gun drums. Add to that a hypersonic low and crusty guitar sound and you know what I’m talking about. In all, the production on this album has become even more terrifying and very heavy. As required, everything is at break neck velocity with here and there a slower bridge/section (after all: they need to reload) which only adds to the tension and the sheer pressure of their songs which totally blow away your furniture.

No quarter is given on this slab of musical terror. Their tactics are flawless and their mission is total domination. Fans of Revenge, Axis of Advance, Conqueror or Death Worship already know it’s “crush-kill-destroy” time. What a scorcher this album is! Buy a copy or you’ll be branded being a poser!
