If you’re a fan of Old School Death Metal, you probably have heard of Just Before Dawn once or twice…probably even more. You probably also know the band have released some EPs and singles the last couple of years and that they have been released on cassette by Into It Records.
As there is a fine cooperation between Into It Records and Raw Skull Recordz, as well as Just Before Dawn, Raw Skull Recordz have released 3 cassette version on 1 cd as a compilation. ‘They shall Not Grow Old’ (2020), ‘Who Knows What the Dark Brings’ (2020) and ‘Battle-Sight Zeroing’ (2022) are brought together on this CD and will let you hear the transformation of Just Before Dawn. The transformation of a band with lots of guest musicians to a solid line-up with David Kreft (Graceless) as regular vocalist (and guitarist).
Musicwise it has been said many times before; Just Before Dawn is in the Bolt Thrower and Hail of Bullets category and does it well.
