A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

A fairly new Death Metal band from Sweden, formed by 4 guys to create some rotten tunes and having a laugh and nothing more. Or as they say themselves; a one-time thing. It seems they have a good chat about it, as the vibe was too good to be ignored. A one-time thing became something serious in the form of Wretched Fate. The band certainly draw its inspiration from the Swedish scene, but more the new millennium kind than the golden era of Swedish Death Metal as Wretched Fate mixes the fast uptempo crunchy riffs of the Swedish Scene with the pounding fast brutality of the American one.

So it is not strange at all their main influence is Bloodbath, hence the cover of the opening track of Bloodbath’s debut album, “Ways to the Grave” of “Resurrection Through Carnage”. Compliments towards vocalist Adrian Selmani who has a good growl on this demo, quite in the region of Mikael Åkerfeldt during the beginning of Bloodbath, so keep an eye on Wretched Fate if you are a Bloodbath devotee. Well, I think I’ve mentioned Bloodbath enough, haven’t I? (Ricardo)
