Just Before Dawn – In the Realm of Ash and Sorrow [EP]

just before dawn – in the realm of ash and sorrow [ep]

Info

The Swedish Bolt Thrower / Hail of Bullets brainchild of Anders Biazzi made some essential change since the previous album ‘An Army At Dawn’. Just Before Dawn was known for the many guest musicians, especially vocalists, on the releases, but this time they have asked Graceless’ David Kreft to fill in the spot…and private Kreft reported for duty.

Once again Just Before Dawn does what it does best; Old School Death Metal with the worldwide known groove which made Bolt Thrower loved by many. During the title-track you will hear a Arch Enemy’s ‘Burning Bridges’, the song, like composition to give it a more doomy vibe. As closing track there is a tribute to L.G. Petrov and Sven Groß; Entombed’s ‘Drowned’. The cassette version has an extra bonus track even; Hypocrisy’s ‘Apocalypse’ of the mighty ‘The Fourth Dimension’ album.

Fans of Just Before Dawn and Old School Death Metal in general will enjoy this one without doubt.
