Cryptworm – Spewing Mephitic Putridity

Cryptworm is a band which was born back in 2014 but had just a few small releases under their belt until now, the last one being an EP released back in 2020. Finally, the band is now releasing their debut full-length (Me Saco Un Ojo – vinyl; Pulverised Records – CD; Extremely Rotten Productions – MC), titled “Spewing Mephitic Putridity”, which is a collection of 8 songs from 3 to more than 5 minutes long, for a little more than half an hour (33:40).

Cryptworm, which features the tallest frontman in the whole Death Metal scene (Tibor Hanyi, responsible for the bass, guitars and vocals), consolidates their sound with this album, creating a deep Undergang-like atmosphere, but with their own unique touch. A deep and cavernous voice, perfectly synchronized with their monstruous rhythm section (with Joe Knight on drums), vibrating our eardrums up to dangerous frequencies, even to the well-trained ear and taking us to worlds completely beyond our normal imagination, where all the stench and miasma turn it into completely unhabitable places for any human being.
