After 2 EPs, “Crawling to Perdition” (2018) and “Infernal Praise” (2021), Indonesian crusty and punky Old School Death Metal act Masakre is back with their 3rd EP.
Besides 5 new songs, “Morbid Extinction” consists of the 5 tracks which are on “Crawling to Perdition” minus the Mayhem’s cover “Deathcrush”. These Indonesian deadly crusties are linking Autopsy with the uptempo grinding parts of Vomitory, Facebreaker, Dellamorte and the likes which results in short and blasting tracks with echoed vocals.
After a couple of spins I think “Morbid Extinction” is a fair EP, but I don’t think this will be the career launcher they are maybe hoping for. (Ricardo)
