This is the CD version of the 12′ vinyl release by Doomentia Records of 2011, otherwise you would probably think “that lame fuck is reviewing stuff that is even been released in 2011”. No, no…this is the Pulverised release of 2012.
After a couple of splits and a promising debut (‘One with the Dead’ the EP consists of 4 new tracks and 2 re-recorded tracks, all in the vein of Old School SweDeath Metal the way it’s meant to be. Although the instrumental track ‘Cult of Shadows’ could be a bastard child of Carnage and Asphyx with Metallica’s ‘The Call of Ktulu’ on the background during the moment of consummating the marriage. So Carnage, early Entombed and early Dismember is comin’ at ya! And during ‘Deathcrowned’ you can hear that typical Cemetary’s ‘An Evil Shade of Grey’ guitar sound.
Forget that hyped Swedish version of Graveyard, who are trying to regain the spirit of 1970s rock. Spend your well-earned money to some Spanish guys who are able to regain the spirit of 1990s Swedish Death Metal!
