A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

For the ones who don’t know Bat, it is the rockin’ Speed Metal band of Felix Griffin (known for his drumwork with crossover maniacs D.R.I. and recorded albums like “Dealing with It!” and “Crossover” among others) and Muncipal Waste duo Ryan Waste and Nick Poulos, of which the latter is also known for his work with Cannabis Corpse. Everything what they do with Bat has been done before but it sure does sounds like good old fashioned fun!

With some catchy Heavy Metal melodies, pounding drums and Speed Metal as well as rockin’ riffs, you will hear the power of Mötorhead, Metallica’s “Kill ‘em All”, Venom and the old American hardcore/punk scene (listen to the drums of “ICE”) altogether on this fine EP. With songs like “Wild Fever” and the aforementioned “ICE” this is an EP for every drinkin’ night with friends. As said, nothing new or special but I bet these guys had a blast recording these songs as much as I enjoyed listening to it. (Ricardo)
