Terratur Possessions to release Enevelde / Gjendød split: “For fans of either band, this is some of their strongest material yet; you won’t be disappointed.”

Info

Terratur Possessions is proud to present ‘Elegier fra avgrunnen’, a special split album between Enevelde and Gjendød, on CD and vinyl LP formats. Amor Fati Productions will be handling worldwide distribution.

Enevelde and Gjendød each contribute four tracks on this split between two Norwegian underground Black Metal bands, deeply rooted in the ’90s spirit the genre was founded upon. Nature, folklore, darkness, and evil intertwine in that distinctly Norwegian way. With both bands long-established, you won’t find any hyper-modern, triggered, or overproduced Black Metal here. What you get is a raw, atmospheric journey across windswept mountains, into shadowed valleys, haunted by an evil rising from the darkest pits.

For fans of either band, this is some of their strongest material yet; you won’t be disappointed.

Grabunhold returns with new album via Iron Bonehead Productions: “Taste their German steel, sharper than ever, with ‘Frostheim’!”

Info

Iron Bonehead Productions is proud to present Grabunhold’s highly anticipated second album, ‘Frostheim’, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

It’s been five long years since Grabunhold’s momentous debut album, ‘Heldentod’, which presented the ‘new old’ sound of medieval Black Metal: Second Wave journeys through silent citadels, sequestered keeps, and dark dungeons, all done in a manner most Teutonic. While a split EP with Circle of Shadows arrived in 2023, the question still lingered: did the Germans still possess the steel to deliver a full-length as compelling, and compellingly modern, despite its ancient origins, as their debut?

On evidence of ‘Frostheim’, the answer is a resounding Yes. While no great changes have been made to their sturdy aesthetic; songwriting that’s expansive yet stridently classicist, production that’s powerful in its sparkling sheen, and execution that ably balances pagan solemnity with northern bloodlust, on Grabunhold’s sophomore album, there exists an uptick in dynamics that’s both subtle and blanching. Perhaps it’s the stained-glass melodicism that hammers its way to the fore, perhaps it’s that production becoming an iron first lined with velvet, or perhaps it’s some (cascading) combination of the two and magickal more, but ‘Frostheim’ is a veritable sonic cathedral: each tone is a feast for the senses, and each tone supports a more-detailed but never-belabored palette, but all coalesce into burning-cold Black Metal that feels simultaneously decades ahead and behind all else. Of course, this all could be support color across a canvas of simply sterling songwriting, which somehow manages to mix emotion and grandeur in equal measure, and then the skill to perform it as needs to be… only Grabunhold know what fires their forge. Taste their German steel, sharper than ever, with ‘Frostheim’!

Me Saco Un Ojo Records ready to release Astriferous’ ‘Atavistic Unraveling’: “The swarming morbidity of early ’90s Finnish Death Metal fused with classic South American madness reveals dread developments that prove the band are just now hitting their stride.”

Info

Me Saco Un Ojo Records is proud to present Astriferous’ highly anticipated second album, ‘Atavistic Unraveling’, on vinyl LP format. Pulverised will be handling the Cd version.

Continuing the primordial descent that kicked off in earnest with their 2023 debut album, ‘Pulsations From the Black Orb’, Astriferous return with their second full-length, ‘Atavistic Unraveling’. Much like that celebrated debut, the Costa Ricans’ sophomore album is perfectly titled: truly, the sensations one finds spread across this dread landscape are an Atavistic Unraveling. Thankfully, Astriferous’ foundation has changed little; the swarming morbidity of early ’90s Finnish Death Metal fused with classic South American madness, but there are (dread) developments that prove the band are just now hitting their stride.

Despite its title, ‘Atavistic Unraveling’ shows Astriferous at their tightest and sharpest, with chops and execution meeting at a nexus of impossibly horrific proportions. Duly armed, the quartet take their songwriting to strange, skronking lengths, rendering their angularity both an unsettling and utterly attacking thing. Likewise, the slight cleaning-up of production has paid dividends, allowing these malformed ruminations to fully seep into the listener’s psyche, mangling the mind and wracking the body, whilst emerging with just enough linear propulsion to land the record on the right side of art rather than riff salad.

Collectively, these changes have made Astriferous even more world-eating than before, further cementing their homeland’s Death Metal scene as one of the most potent around. ‘Atavistic Unraveling’ awaits those who dare…

Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Rotted Life join forces to release Coprolith’s debut album: “Truly titled, ‘Putrescence’ is a vast landscape of rot and dread… Death Metal, tried and true.”

Info

Me Saco Un Ojo Records is proud to present the highly anticipated debut album of Canada’s Coprolith, ‘Putrescence’, on vinyl LP format. Rotted Life will be handling the CD version.

Hailing from Toronto, Coprolith formed in 2023 and promptly released their debut demo, which Me Saco Un Ojo released on vinyl early the next year. While that demo was undeniably a promising start, the quintet dive deeply into an abyss that’s heavier, more doomed, and most definitely darker with their debut album, ‘Putrescence’.

Truly titled, ‘Putrescence’ is a vast landscape of rot and dread. Coprolith illustrate this landscape with a bounty of the very best sounds of the very early ’90s: Death Metal, tried and true, but stirring within their cauldron is the tank-like bludgeon of Grave, the monolith pulse of Demigod, and the sepulchral tendrils of Incantation. That the Canadians splice & sluice those ingredients to their diabolical design shows both a lifer’s understanding of these foundational sounds and, more so, a will to honor this tradition with fiercely focused personality; keenly knowing what’s between the slimy exoskeleton and its rotten underbelly, so to speak. And the fact that all but one of the album’s six tracks stretch well beyond the five-minute mark shows that there’s charred, challenging vistas being explored along the way…

Lurk within the sewers long enough and, with Coprolith as your guide, you’ll find exactly where the ‘Putrescence’ is.

Wolfkult Religion ready to release Varathron’s primordial Black Metal milestone: “…this wasn’t just any Black Metal landmark or foundation; it turned out, as brief as it is, to be a genre-defining recording.”

Info

Originally released back in October 1989, ‘Procreation Of Unaltered Evil’ is widely regarded as one of the ultimate milestones of Greek Black Metal. Not only was it one of the very first recordings from that highly praised scene, it also served as a blueprint of countless of other bands all around the globe who were left in awe after hearing these primordial tracks. Varathron entered the scene with a demo tape under their collective belts that became a classic almost immediately.

The two tracks that were released on this first Varathron demo tape are still among the favourites of many Varathron fans, but musicians all over the world were influenced by these early recordings. Dead, of Mayhem and Morbid fame, for example, more than once cited this demo to be one of the most influential recordings for his, sadly short, musical career.

At that time Varathron’s line-up consisted of vocalist and visionary Stefan Necroabyssious, who still leads this legendary band today, as well as Jim Mutilator who was also in Rotting Christ at the time and is currently helming Yoth Iria. And while members would come and go, including Themis Tolis (Rotting Christ) and Vorskaath (Zemial and Agatus), which is also typical of a small but close-knit scene, the Varathron sound would remain largely unchanged for the band’s long career. What this means is that ‘Procreation Of The Unaltered Evil’ wasn’t just any Black Metal landmark or foundation; it turned out, as brief as it is, to be a genre-defining recording.

Because of the undeniable significance of these two tracks, they have been reissued a couple of times over the past 37 years (think about it, this is almost 40 years old!). But never were they presented in a stand-alone release since its original appearance so many years ago despite Stefan Necroabyssious’s fervent desire to make it happen. That changes on May 15th when Wolfkult Religion releases the two tracks on a 7″ EP, it also comes with a 12-page booklet with old drawings, photos, flyers etc.

Shamaatae returns with new Arckanum album: “Across eleven ritualistic compositions, the past is not revisited as nostalgia but reawakened as an anti-cosmic force.”

Info

In 2018, the ongoing work of Arckanum (Official) was formally concluded following the release of ‘Den Förstfödde’ (2017). The project’s sole member, Shamaatae, withdrew from musical activity to focus on his esoteric endeavors within the Thursatru Tradition and the writing of a series of books pertaining to his Thursian Workings.

After an extended creative and spiritual withdrawal, we are proud to announce, one decade later, that Shamaatae has now become musically active again and inspired to continue the legacy of Arckanum.

The musical material has been developed sporadically since 2016, in parallel with ongoing and corresponding esoteric practices. What has emerged is not the result of a conventional writing period, but of a longer process aligned with the same current that has always defined Arckanum, serving as one of the tools of its outward manifestation.

Two new albums have thus far been written, and the generation of material for a third is currently in progress. The first of these, entitled ‘Beswærilsin’, will be released in 2026 via Darkness Shall Rise Productions. Shamaatae is currently in the studio concluding the recording of this album.

‘Beswærilsin’ marks the opening of Arckanum’s third phase, an initiation arising from a deeper stratum of the Thursian current. It is not a return, nor a repetition, but an emergence shaped by what has been forged and endured through previous workings. Across eleven ritualistic compositions, the past is not revisited as nostalgia but reawakened as an anti-cosmic force.

Further details, including formats and exact release date, will be announced in due course.

Bewitched and Osmose Productions proud to announce new album: “‘Diabolical Death Mass’ is not a resurrection; Bewitched were never dead. Let the ritual begin.”

Info

Swedish Black / Thrash Metal veterans Bewitched are back.

Forged in fire back in 1995, three decades of chaos now culminate in ‘Diabolical Death Mass’. Their new full-length will be unleashed on April 24th via Osmose Productions, making it the first studio release since 2006.

Years of silence were broken onstage, igniting triumphant infernos in Brazil, Colombia, Greece, and all across Europe, thus proving that the fire is burning brighter than ever.

Now, the circle is completed as Bewitched return to the legendary Osmose, the label that helped shape their early legacy. With ‘Diabolical Death Mass’, Bewitched deliver 11 tracks true to the traditional old-school Black/Thrash sound that made them known: savage riffs, anthemic power, and pure blackened fury. An uncompromising Hellcult attack, nothing more and nothing less.

‘Diabolical Death Mass’ is not a resurrection; Bewitched were never dead. Let the ritual begin.

Tombal and Blood Harvest Records proud to announce new EP: “Tombal channel the tradition of Swedish Death Metal, finding their identity in a violent, ferocious sound, with no compromises.

Info

Blood Harvest Records is proud to present Tombal’s striking debut EP, ‘Grave of the Damned’, on CD format. Unholy Domains will be handling the cassette version.

Making their way straight out of a grave and crawling into the human-known world, Tombal see the light in late 2025. Heavily inspired by the Hm-2’s fierce and sharp tones, Tombal channel the tradition of Swedish Death Metal, finding their identity in a violent, ferocious sound, with no compromises. The grave-risen band consists of Luigi Cara, with his annihilating guitars and growls; Massimiliano Falchi, on the butchering low-end four strings; and Luca Barone, the fresh blood behind the machine-gun-like drums.

‘Grave of the Damned’, Tombal’s public debut, is a swift & satisfying display of classic Swedeath. In just 16 minutes, the power-trio lay waste to all in their path; from fleet-footed gallops to gutted blasting, tar-thick riffing with just a bit of evil melody, and an undeniably authentic atmosphere of the early ’90s, the EP displays the band’s full arsenal, even at this early stage. So impressed by this opening statement, Blood Harvest have signed Tombal and will be unleashing the band’s debut album, which is slated to be recorded before year’s end. The past is alive…and undead!

Nuclear Winter Records to release ‘Vestiges of Tortured Souls’ by Rotten Tomb: “The riffs are sharper and more cohesive, while the melodies take on a more prominent role, painting soundscapes that feel more sorrowful and evocative than ever before”

Info

Chilean Death Metallers Rotten Tomb proudly announce the release of their third full-length album, ‘Vestiges of Tortured Souls’, set for June 6th, 2026 via Nuclear Winter Records. The album will be available on LP, CD, and cassette formats, further cementing the band’s commitment to the underground tradition.

Formed in 2016 in Iquique, Rotten Tomb have steadily risen as one of the most compelling acts within the South American Extreme Metal scene, blending Death Metal with Doom-laden atmospheres and occult undertones. Following the strong impact of ‘Visions of a Dismal Fate’ (2022) and the equally praised ‘The Relief of Death’ (2024), the band now returns with their most ambitious and fully realized work to date.

‘Vestiges of Tortured Souls’ stands as one of the most anticipated Death Metal releases of the year. On this new record, Rotten Tomb refine their sonic identity without sacrificing intensity or authenticity. The riffs are sharper and more cohesive, while the melodies take on a more prominent role, painting soundscapes that feel more sorrowful and evocative than ever before.

Without losing any of the crushing heaviness and sense of decay that defined their earlier material, the band now delivers songs with an immediate and lasting impact. Each track strikes a balance between overwhelming force and carefully crafted lead guitar work, resulting in compositions that are both memorable and devastating.

The album channels the oppressive weight of the genre’s darkest pioneers alongside a deeply mournful and introspective atmosphere, while still maintaining a distinct and personal voice. This duality allows Rotten Tomb to push their sound forward, achieving a level of songwriting maturity that marks a clear evolution from their previous efforts.

‘Vestiges of Tortured Souls’ represents a major step forward for Rotten Tomb, solidifying their position at the forefront of Chile’s increasingly renowned Extreme Metal scene and extending their reach far beyond national borders.
