You want your music reviewed? Awesome. Just keep in mind: we decide what gets featured. We only cover Death or Black Metal, or hybrids with Doom, Thrash, or Speed, preferably the Old School kind.
Don’t bother submitting sludge, brutal/slam, industrial, modern/tech, gothic, groove, avant-garde, experimental, post, core, stoner, or anything outside our scope. We’re not the right zine for that.
So in a nutshell…
- Professional reviews? Nope. We are not journalists. We are pretty sure objective reviews are an utopia so we review as fans…fans with an opinion.
- Always positive? No, we do support the underground and scene in general, but not for the sake of it. We are not an extension of your PR-campaign.
- Physical albums? Keep them. Sell them! We are more than happy to review it digitally, be it MP3, WAV or streaming links like Bandcamp, YouTube etc..
- Deadlines? Nonexistent. We receive a lot of requests and we review when we can.
- Interviews? We contact bands if we want to do an interview. Don’t ask.
- Unhappy with a review? Shit happens. Move on.
