A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Spanish thrashers from Angelus Apatrida are back after an absence of two years. Since the last release ‘The Call’ from 2012, which was a splendid album, they strike back with ‘Hidden Evolution’. Straight forward thrash with a pure thrashy voice, sometimes a bit too clean for me, but hell, it fits like my cock in my girlfriends mouth. The mastering of this album, by the hand of Daniel Cardoso, is very great and all instruments come by in the picture without forgetting a single aspect. If you could describe this band, then I would call it a mixture between Heathen, Testament and Megadeth if you ask me. The heavy riffs on this album are killer ones, the catchy riffs and fitting lyrics match perfectly and as stated, with this good production, this release sounds very nice! Best tracks in my opinion are definitely the last one titled ‘Hidden Evolution’ because this one somewhat breaks the lack of variation the slightly crawls into the end of this release and ‘Speed of Light’ that’s filled with blistering riffs and has a very aggressive touch to it. Check this one out traditional thrash addicts and start banging your head! (Fredde)
