Caligari Records from Tampa, Florida, offers to your attention the second EP of the international band Skumstrike called “Execution Void”. What you will find here are five blasting tracks of dirty Black/Thrash metal with raw underground sound.
Skumstrike’s line-up consists of L.A from Ireland on guitars, ZS from Singapore on drums/vocals and FD from Canada on bass. So we have three guys from three continents that are tormenting your ears with piercing guitar riffs, pounding drums and screeching Black Metal vocals. Besides the Thrash/Black sound, you can clearly hear their Punk influence and even some Rock’n’Roll vibes in the beginning of “The Deserter”.
“Execution Void” offers a lot of energy that will make your neck move up and down in the murderous rhythm of Skumstrike. Some d-beat/crust is also thrown in so the bleeding from your ears is guaranteed! A worthy release that you should definitely check out if you are into bestial Black/Thrash/Punk stuff! (Zvetan)
