A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

It seems they prefer to keep their identity hidden and, as some Black Metal bands do, put all their effort on their music instead of their image. And this looks like it is a well beginning as their first EP is a prove of this.

When the first notes of “Hexen (Bis Aufs Blut Gequält)” start to sound, you can feel that crude stoner Thrash sound which makes you to remember the first Mercyful Fate’s records as well as Diamond Head, but as soon as you keep listening you dive in a sort of horror tale where the climax catch you leading you to those ups and downs without putting aside those rhythms and guitars that have those echoes of good and crunchy Swedish Heavy Metal.

Definitely a good EP to remember the old school. (Charles Klemm)
