A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Ancestral Fortitude is part of the PABM inner circle, an orthodox Black Metal collective from the USA. Traditionalism is transversal to all the bands and musicians that partake in this collective, creating Black Metal the Old Way.

Ancestral Fortitude is an example of ferocious and visceral Black Metal with hints of something else. And what is this something else? Alongside the European influence, we have an almost Punk scent. Almost… in all honesty, Black Metal does have a very Punkish vein, so it makes sense, and it has been done over and over again. Ancestral Fortitude delivers a practically chaotic performance throughout these 3 tracks, that ooze dark energy and blood. Matthew, drummer for Doppelaxt (another PABM act), delivers an intense vocal performance that leaves you on the verge of breaking. You can almost feel the pain and anger!

Along with the cutting riffs and pounding drums, it makes for a good first release.
