If there is something I’m proud of, as a staunch Black Metal fan, it’s knowing that our scene (this term…) has grown in such a way, that it easily stands up to other world powers of the genre. In a way, this more bellicose analogy fits well with the image I paint of Ruach Raah. War Black Metal? There is something in the duo’s Black Metal that “soaks” us with stamina and bloodlust. Some elevate us to higher mental states; others feed the animalistic side of the Human Animal.
3rd album, and this time by Signal Rex. The roster that these people continue to build is undeniable. I have said it several times, and never with the intention of receiving… but if it’s good, it’s good. Let us not fuck around in the bushes, please.
The duo continues to distill hateful Black Metal, thirsty for blood and flesh, totally possessed by hellish deities and merciless. There is Punk and Black Metal; there is an immensely balanced mix, which leads to an aggressive and punishing structure! Balaclavas and a attitude of hatred for everything and everything, the core of the creative entity of these men, who in the end give us this firecracker! The formula is simple, and perhaps this is one of the most positive aspects of this Ruach Raah’s music: simplicity, which reveals itself as soon as you load play and the cassette, starts to spin! There are no atmospheres, no flourishes or pretty details! There is disgust and vomiting, there is physical aggression and Punk, that Swede, maybe.
Very curious to see them live… Invicta Reqviem Mass 2022, maybe? These people look dangerous, and transmit it through Black Metal. Fuck…
