Dalkhu – Lamentation and Ardent Fire

dalkhu – lamentation and ardent fire

The rather evident instrumental prowess these Slovenian folks show does not keep them from composing a focused piece of Black Metal artwork.

Instead of following that latest all-atonal riffwork approach Dødheimsgard and Deathspell Omega have unintentionally been commanding over the years, they leave it on 4/4 time signatures, building repetitive melodic motifs that continuously evolve over a recognizable rhythmic section just as they create a mesmerizing atmosphere that gets to your brain cells and makes you surrender to the eternal fire.
