A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

And there they go again…The Chilean horde of Soulrot with their pounding and crunchy Death Metal, this time with their 2nd full length “Victims of Spiritual Warfare”.

If you have heard Soulrot before, they are just continuing their left hand path they have been strolling for a couple of years now. Tweaking it a bit, improving here and there. If you haven’t heard of them before, Soulrot are combining the groovy mid-tempo parts with the grinding up-tempo ones, all in the Swedish Old School Death Metal approach with the accompanying HM-2 sound and it also beholds a little wink to the grinding UK scene.

And again, nothing original but that is not the purpose…the purpose is to listen to good music while dismembering a body so you don’t have to hear the screams. (Ricardo)
