A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

South America has been delivering some great black/death metal bands lately, and Praise the Flame are clearly among the leaders. The band was formed in 2012 (in Santiago, Chile) by underground veterans of bands like Death Yell, Megiddo, Insorcist and Occidens. After releasing a demo, an EP and a split with Abrekadaver, Praise the Flame unleashed their first full-length through Spanish label Memento Mori and raises their quality level even higher than their previous effort “Profane Cvlt” already set. Eight great songs are introduced by the perfect intro for the rest of the album, where you can sense the destruction and devastation that’s about to get loose! Just make sure your neck is in perfect conditions, because there’s going to be some serious headbanging while listening to this death metal beauty with the right dose of 80’s thrash. If you’re a fan of early Morbid Angel, early Malevolent Creation, Sadistic Intent and/or Massacra, you should definitely check this release out! (Antonio)
