A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

After reviewing the debut “Worship of Humiliation” and the 7” “Descent into the Cryptic Chasm”, it is time for the second full-length to be dissected. On this album J. Reina is accompanied by F.C. on bass to tear all weak souls apart with their Old School and murky sounding Death Metal Like on the previous releases of Necroven, it is still Incantation which is the main influence on “Primordial Subjugation”. And of course, one can add very early Immolation or Morbid Angel as well, but the mix of all those is still the same: Old School and murky Death Metal. The main difference for me is it is a bit faster, although the trademark for morbid and obscure Death Metal, the mid-tempo parts, are present still. And sometimes I hear some old Nile when the riffing are going high-pitched and fast. Recommendable for those are into some heavy sounding and murky Old School Death Metal! (Ricardo)
