Dark God – Slaughter All

dark god – slaughter all

Info

Chilean Death Thrash maniacs Darkgod upholding the wrathful legacy of South American death thrash sound since being formed in the late 90s. Though their discography most consists of demos, EP, and Splits but all accumulated energies were released like spitting venoms in their debut offering “Cremation of the Saint”. After releasing around 2019, the long-waited fanatics get the reasons behind their painstaking take on debut full length. “Cremation of the Saint” sent some shivers in the South American underground and the rest of the places. The Chileans not only gave another taste of ferocious death metal with always provocative South-American Thrashy edge for fans of the late 80´s Floridian scene, Pentagram Chile, Atomic Aggressor, Mutilator Sadism, Torturer, Totten Korps, and Massacra. But that also makes all exposed one being a thirsty fan for their next offering.

The sophomore full-length came just after the right lapse of time. “Slaughter All” was recorded and released by August 2022 in vinyl format via Agresor Records (Chile), Morbid Kult Records (USA), and also Pentagram Rec. (Peru). Anyone missing the follow-up, the cassette tapes format is now scheduled to be released by coming June under La Cripta Records (Chile) and is also available on digital platforms maintained independently by the Band. And, trailing the path established by the Chileans, “Slaughter All’ contains 10 tracks and that’s just a little over thirty-five minutes of sepulchral work that comes to massacre your bloody skull. It’s slithering and cut-throat death thrash, that can swirl your body instantly. The feeling that always someone gets from listening to all the banal classics and the South Americans delivered in the purest style of Dark God itself. The trio of Giovanni Rivera on vocals/guitars, Andrés Castañeda on bass, and José Pereira on drums, composed and recorded with all their blood, sweat, and unbound rages inside. Musically, the approach remains traditional but more vicious than any of their earlier works, and the production fully carries that atmosphere. The cutthroat delivery by Giovanni Rivera on both vocals and guitars will earn your praise and awe instantaneously. So are the slaughtering bass lines by Castañeda and flesh chopping skin charges of Castañeda.

From the very beginning, the banal way of initiating a record with an Outro sets the tone and atmosphere of what awaits ahead.  The title track then loses the slaughter mood in the spree and forward tracks like, ‘The Goddess of the Witches, “Intro Culto”, “Culto De Submundo”, “Death Comes for All”, “The Plague Outbreak”, “Attack of Demon’s” and “Profundidad Insondable”, will not let anyone escape for a second. The perfectly placed slayer demon-like deliverance on the final track “Profundidad Insondable”, will leave anyone gasping yet craving for more to come. Altogether, “Slaughter All” further solidified the deep-rooted legacy of these Chilean merchants of madness and this record shall not go unnoticed by any addict to the cult of the dark and classic metal. Released with mind-slaughtering cover art from revered Jaime Gutierrez (Sadus, Dominus Xul, Death Yell, Excoriate, Bloody Exitation, Trimegisto), “Slaughter All” shall slaughter all exposed.
