A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Some of you will probably know Barús from France since their EP release back in 2015. A four-track EP which was self-released at first, but labels like Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions and Emanations picked it up to spread the word. Now they are back with their debut full length which is released by Memento Mori and if you are a fan of the Death Metal albums you should give this one a listen before you just order this blindfolded, as it is a bit different at least.

They claim to play visceral and atmospheric Death Metal, which could be a summary if you keep in mind you will hear progressive parts with sludge-like tempo and dragging sound as well as certain technical chaos with post-like clean shout-out as well as a growl, which as whole will be fired at the listener. It sure is heavy and to be honest “Drowned” is a the perfect title of this type of musical entanglement which will not be considered as a comfortable listen for every Death Metal fan out there.
