Coffin Mulch – Spectral Intercession

coffin mulch – spectral intercession

Info

Coffin Mulch made a fierce return with their new debut full-length album ‘Spectral Intercession’. This four-piece member band from Scotland brings out a new ghastly offering to the Death Metal table.

An eruption of raging fury begins with hellish screams and visions of torment swirling chaotically. The first song and album title ‘Spectral Intercession’introduces itself in this horrific manner. Then all kicks into gear with an HM-2 fueled Death charge revealing the face of this demon! Present in this release are throat ripping vocals of a very harsh nature giving hint to an L.G. Petrov tone from the older Entombed era while the steadily pounding of drums drives forth accompanied by chainsaw guitars in hand that cut to the bone! Whether slow, fast or somewhere in between, either way the heavy and sick crunch of the guitars grind away turning bone into dust easily.

Oh, did I mention heavy as all bloody hell too!?!? Absolutely and throughout! Feelings of dread also come to mind, like in a horror movie, right in that moment where all and everything is doomed to die and then all terror lets loose! This in turn is the results from this filthy sacrifice to the gods of blood. Now, do we die satisfied though??? Indeed, we do and with an eerie bloody grin to go with it!

There’s no doubt about it that Coffin Mulch take a strong influence from the older Swedish Death Metal style which is very much infused within their sound. Yet these Scottish lads take the reins and show us who they are and do it rather well!
