A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

XT, Ti and XE are serving us a tasty dish of three roaring Death Metal tunes /// By the looks of the atypical cover art it promises to be something out of the ordinary ///

-..

Perilaxe Occlusion crafts rasterized Death Metal out of Ontario, Canada ///

-..

If you haven’t got the faintest clue of what rasterized Death Metal means, then don’t worry, I don not either but I guess we are about to find out ///

-..

“Exponential Decay” seems to be all about 3D modelling, dots and binary codes ///

-..

The content of the lyrics are above my cognitive capacities and current payroll but in my eighties brain an image of the movie “weird science” popped up immediately ///

-..

“Exponential Decay” is their debut ///

-..

“Death Bias Alpha” opens the demo in a smashing way /// The first two minutes of this track are in fact a build up to a skull crushing, monstrous blast, sure to blow you out of your pink unicorn knickers ///

-..

Besides hypersonic blasts and swirling solo’s the track offers swing and fleshy grooves ensuring lots of dynamics ///

-..

Do not listen to “Death Bias Alpha”  whilst driving /// The chance you will deliberately run over senior citizens and children left unattended is real ///

-..

“Skeletal bifurcation” is complex matter in its purest form /// It took me some time to get a grip on this track as it bounces up and down, from left to right, diversifies in speed, mood and structure /// Yet once the binary code gets programmed into the frontal lobe of your brain an unwieldy and blunt Death Metal monster emerges ///

-..

“Rigid Body Displacement” is a nine minute lasting sonic adventure /// It sets off in a subdued yet menacing way and again you get overtaken by an abrupt acceleration and overpowering aggression ///

-..

The soundscape produced by these three gents is crystal clear /// All instruments are put equipollent in the mix creating an overwhelming wall of sound ///

-..

This is how I like my Death Metal, aggressive, varied, with a little twist of madness added ///

-..

Get your overdeveloped brains back in the laboratory as soon as possible, so you lads can go and model some new ingenious Death Metal /// My brain and calculator are looking forward to transubstantiate new modelled music ///
