The ‘Flesh Reborn’ EP here just so happens to be the sixth release from Belgium’s Death/Doom Metal master Gateway. And if you happen to know the great Gateway, then you pretty much know what you are getting here.
To those that do not know, this is not your typical grandiose Old School My Dying Bride type Death/Doom, no, this is the type of Death/Doom that is vile and is oozing with despair filled filth. Gateway’s Death/Doom is more akin to the band Coffins but with extra layers of horrific disgust. And with ‘Flesh Reborn’ here,
Gateway have put out something that truly is miserable to listen to, in all the right ways.
