Does Impaled Nazarene need any introduction? Mr. Luttinen and The Crazy Bunch O Perverts? Camp Nazerene is back with their 12th full-length and one way or another, they keep the marriage between them and Osmose Productions working as they released everything with the Osmose logo on it since the “Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz” debut. An achievement to cherish, if you ask me. For me, Impaled Nazarene is like a good old friend whom you only see at a birthday once a year. Never an awkward moment, an instant smile when the first conversation starts, talkin about old times and at the end we promise each other to get in contact soon to grab a beer or two. And we all know the result of that the next time we see each other is one year later and the ritual starts again. The successor of “Road to the Octagon” hasnt got an awkward moment (the well-known blend of punkish Black Metal with some Grindcore, Crust and Death Metal twists) and creates an instant smile when Mikas filthy vocals penetrates the hearing. The “Fuck You”-attitude hasnt changed and while listening to the chorus of “Pathological Hunger for Violence” with additional lead guitar, the urge to grab a beer is getting stronger. Ofcourse, “Vigorous and Liberating Death” doesnt have the impact like milestones as “Urga Karma”, “Suomi Finland Perkele” or “Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz”, yet it is a typical Impaled Nazarene album filled with quality Nuclear Goat Worshipping Metal with 666% Megaton pressure Bring out the gasmasks and run for shelter!
