Untervoid are a new black metal group formed by known members from Kriegsmaschine and Armagedon, so you can expect some serious stuff here. This first impression in form of an EP is handled by Osmose Productions and these guys have an interesting approach on Black Metal. Don`t expect another Azarath/Behemoth whatever clone here. They try to combine different elements into one hellish mix which sounds refreshing. The vocals are sometimes strange and odd placed (some long screams with different tones) with a huge range from clean Primordial like vocals to some Akercocke like melancholic ones, changing to high pitched screams, half spoken words….a lot of things going on here. Musicalwise some post rock/black`n roll parts, lots of thrash riffing, and killer bass and drums variation that make this EP a modern Black Metal assault. This is for the open minded extrememetalists. I recommend you to check this out, If you are seeking for some different kind of Black Metal. Great and interesting start. (DPF)
