A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

In the year 2020 Voodus, along with Helter Skelter Productions, released their EP (or mini-album depending on where you read), ‘Open The Otherness’. This is the band’s third EP and fourth official release to date. So let us see what this Black Metal band has in store for us this far in.

What we find on this EP is two tracks of some exceptionally good Epic, Atmospheric, beautiful, evil and aggressive Black Metal. Their sound, to me, is somewhat like what it would sound like if Watain expanded their sound to add some lush and gorgeous atmospherics and Traditional Metal guitar epicness. Which may sound just a bit odd but when you actually hear this band that description will make perfect sense. And it may also sound to you like it may not sound very good together but that would be 100% wrong.

For Voodus’s ‘Open The Otherness’ is fan-fucking-tastic and it only gets better the more you listen to it.
