In 2024, eight years after their debut album ‘Etching Obscurity’, Frostbite from Canada came up with ‘Relentless Grief’.
Within Frostbite, Max Allard and Stéphane Deschênes have also done work with Bane, a former Serbian Melodic Black/Death Metal band with influences mostly from Dissection and similar bands, which at some point settled in Canada. Why share this info? Because Frostbite also lets those influences show, though in a more melodic and less raw way.
Personally, I would like it to be more powerful and less tame, but it certainly has melody lines that would work really well as a supporting act for bands like Thulcandra.
