Not long after the split with Necromantic Worship, The Nameless Shrine came out with this promo tape, carrying on down the path that was set on the split.
Zharuul of the Forbidden Spheres and Habitator Dunarum really know what they are doing, bringing the old dark Hellenic scene into 2026, which is something I can only appreciate. Once again, besides acts like Varathron and Necromantia, listen to ‘Doctrine of the Unclean Fire’, early Samael and Mortuary Drape can be mentioned when it comes to the atmosphere the listener has to inhale and experience.
Dark yet melodic, familiar yet new, a little gem and well worth it.
