The 1980s, Black/Thrash, and Germany go well together, there is plenty of proof for that over the last 40 years, right?

Lucifuge has spent 10 years firing their version at humanity, and they do a pretty good job of it. On their previous album, ‘Infernal Power’, the influences of early Bathory, early Slayer, Venom and the titans of Teutonic Thrash were clearly noticeable and that line continues on ‘Monoliths of Wrath’. But they push things even further regarding Thrash, where you could mention early Exodus as well. And without sounding groundbreaking, it does sounds good and enjoyable.

Lucifuge is a band where old school Thrash and first wave Black Metal go hand in hand, making you feel like you are back to the glorious days of 1987.
