The debut album from Canadian Death metal/Crust band Abyss titled Heretical Anatomy’ has been released in April 2015 on the 20 Buck Spin label. First impression with the band, and they in some kind of way are able to touch my (spider)senses. Short said: if you’re a fan of old school death metal, then you’ll definitely find a mixture of different old school band styles (Repulsion, Carcass, Carnage, …) on this album. This album contains eight songs and only has a duration of 20 minutes. Especially the doomy parts in Thrall of the Elder Gods’ ( an indication towards the older band-influences I guess) charmed me! This album ended to fast, so hopefully the next chapter will appear soon. (Fredde)
